User Agreement

1. Who may use My Connect

My Connect is an internal workplace platform for people authorized by RE/MAX Crest Realty or RE/MAX Masters Realty (together, the Brokerages). It is intended for brokerage business, collaboration, learning, events, and approved marketing activities. Access is a privilege tied to your current role and permissions.

This agreement applies to every authorized user, including licensed agents, office staff, managers, and administrators. It supplements applicable law, brokerage policies, MLS® rules, and professional obligations. If another applicable rule is stricter, follow that rule.

2. Your account and security

• Use only your own account. Do not share passwords, one-time codes, sessions, or access with anyone else.
• Keep your profile and contact information accurate. Use the permissions assigned to your role; do not try to access another person’s account or restricted area.
• Promptly tell Office Management or a My Connect administrator if you suspect unauthorized access, a lost device, a mistaken disclosure, or another security incident.

3. Professional and respectful conduct

Treat colleagues and other users professionally in posts, comments, groups, messages, events, and profile content. The following are not allowed:

• Pornography, sexually explicit or erotic images, videos, audio, text, or links; sexualized nudity; and any sexual material involving minors.
• Harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, hateful or discriminatory content, or non-consensual intimate images.
• Fraud, impersonation, deliberately false or misleading claims, spam, scams, malware, phishing, or attempts to collect other users’ credentials.
• Graphic violence, illegal content, or content that interferes with another person’s safe use of the platform.

4. Privacy and confidential information

• Share client, customer, employee, and colleague information only when you are authorized and the recipient has a legitimate business need. Do not post identification documents, financial details, access codes, private contact details, transaction files, or other sensitive information in community areas.
• Obtain appropriate permission before posting a person’s photo, video, testimonial, contact details, or private message. Do not screenshot or forward internal conversations outside the Brokerages without authorization.
• Use approved channels for confidential client instructions, offers, deposits, and legally significant communications. My Connect messages are not a substitute for required brokerage records or approved transaction systems.
• Handle personal information in accordance with applicable privacy law and brokerage policies. Report a suspected privacy incident promptly to Office Management or a My Connect administrator.

5. Listings, advertising, and MLS® material

• Check the source and obtain any required seller, listing agent, brokerage, MLS®, photographer, or other rights-holder permission before posting or reusing listing information, images, videos, floor plans, or marketing materials.
• Keep listing status, price, property details, dates, brokerage identification, team information, and claims accurate and current. Follow applicable advertising rules and brokerage approval processes.
• Do not alter photos, floor plans, or AI-generated visuals in a way that misrepresents a property. Identify simulated or staged visuals where required.
• Do not bulk copy, scrape, export, republish, or distribute MLS® data or internal reports beyond the permissions granted for your work.

6. Posts, files, and intellectual property

• Upload only content you created or are permitted to use. Respect copyright, trademarks, music licences, privacy rights, and attribution requirements.
• You remain responsible for what you post, including attachments and external links. Review AI-assisted text, images, and video for accuracy and rights before sharing them.
• You retain any ownership you have in your content. You permit the Brokerages to store, display, format, moderate, and remove that content as needed to operate My Connect and conduct authorized internal business. This does not give you rights to third-party or MLS® material.

7. Messages, events, and outside communications

• Use direct messages and groups for legitimate workplace communication. Do not send repetitive unsolicited promotions or use the platform to evade a person’s communication preferences.
• Post accurate event dates, locations, meeting links, registration terms, and CPD information. Share virtual meeting links only with the intended audience.
• When contacting people by email, text, or another external channel, follow applicable consent, identification, and unsubscribe requirements. A My Connect contact or profile does not by itself authorize marketing messages.

8. Platform integrity and permitted access

• Do not bypass security controls, probe vulnerabilities, run unauthorized automation, scrape member directories, overload the service, or upload malicious code.
• Do not use My Connect data for an unrelated personal business, a competing service, or any purpose outside your authorized brokerage role.
• The Brokerages may use access logs and review content or reports when reasonably needed for security, support, compliance, or investigations, subject to applicable law and policy. Do not assume that workplace messages are confidential from authorized administrators.

9. Moderation and consequences

Users may report concerning content or conduct to Office Management or a My Connect administrator. Administrators may review reports, restrict visibility, remove content, limit features, or suspend access when reasonably necessary. Serious matters may be escalated under brokerage policy or applicable law. We cannot guarantee that every post is reviewed before it appears.

10. Accuracy, availability, and changes

Imported MLS®, event, ranking, market-share, and other third-party information may be delayed or incomplete. Verify important facts against the authoritative source before relying on them in professional work. Features may change or be temporarily unavailable.

The Brokerages may update this agreement. The current version and its date will be posted here. Material changes should be communicated through an appropriate company channel. Continued access is subject to the then-current agreement and any required acknowledgement process.

11. Questions and applicable law

Ask Office Management or a My Connect administrator if you are unsure whether content or a proposed use is permitted. This agreement is governed by the laws of British Columbia and applicable Canadian law. Nothing here removes rights or obligations that cannot legally be excluded.
